I have always loved food and I have always loved to cook! However, I never really cooked the right foods. Of course I had a vegetable with every meal, but I also had some sort of potato or pasta. During the past 3 years I have tried to focus on adding more vegetables to dishes and meals. I have learned that you can be creative with food and make pretty awesome tasting food that is healthy for you.
I also have enjoyed fitness. My freshman year in high school I was skinny, but not very physically fit. I decided to join the track team. I believe that was the best thing I have ever done in my life. It opened the door for my love of working out and running. I have been an avid runner ever since.
It was August of 2012 that I discovered CrossFit. I knew about it before then, but it scared the crap out of me. It took me 8 months to finally decide to attend my first class. Now I am addicted and absolutely LOVE IT!
This blog is just a way of documenting two of my favorite things: food and fitness.
